Konoba Marenda

A long-standing tavern hidden in an old-town side street, with a few tables and benches on a tiny square. It serves marenda, the big late-morning meal: two dishes a day on a fixed weekly rotation (Mondays it's pasta with beans and lamb with peas). Show up late and there's still fried smelt, Adriatic squid or a prosciutto sandwich. Get there early.
